We go every year. Always amazing. Normally turned on the 1st Saturday of December but I read they are going on early this year. They are keeping the theme a secret for some reason.

Went last night. They are last year's awful polytunnel with a few gold stars. Was completely underwhelmed for 2nd year running. That said we had a fabulous meal.

I'm glad you've both said that because from looking at newspaper pictures, I had been thinking they looked almost identical to last year's, too. We went on the night they were switched on last year but I wouldn't do that again as the crowds were too big for my liking. I loved the lights a couple of years ago when they had all the chandeliers along Calle Larios, don't think last year's or this year's are as good.

We were there and staying in Central Malaga the week they put them up. What a massive job. Untangling our 100 light Pifco flasher set drives me nuts. Some serious man power and equipment invested in doing it.

Larios was hectic though with passageways restricted to a couple of metres either side of the main central walkway.
Numbskulls still insisted on peddling their bikes through the impassable throng.......saw a couple of good and full on bun fights caused by this :D

over half a million Great British Pounds I read somewhere.....they must have been chasing up a lot of unpaid IBI and road tax to be able to waste that much..

That will depend on how much extra tourism and income is generated and how much more tax the town hall receives.

We went Sunday night after the rain had stopped. Reasonably quiet in Malaga for the lights. I have to say they are not as impressive as previous years. They seemed very bright, i guess they use LED now.

We went last night, the "light show" at 1830 and 2100 is worth a look. Great atmosphere there, very busy

Went to see Malaga lights last night.
For those of you who were disappointed with the lights in Larios then you need to be there at 6:30 PM or 9:00 PM when they have an excellent sound and light show.
Need to get there early to find a space to stand, there was very little free space there last night.
At other times the "tunnel" looks very much like it did last year.
Cheers
