In most other parts of Spain it's pronounced something like 'Andaluthea'
It's normal to pronounce places differently depending on the language
The French pronounce their capital 'Pareee'. The English, 'Paris' with a slight stress on the first syllable and the Spanish, 'Pariiiis' with a rising stress on the second syllable.
All correct depending on the language.
I like to pronounce Fuengirola 'Fingerola' because that's how my wife use to hear it pronounced by people asking for information when she worked at the Spanish tourist office in London.
Or Funkyrola as some of my palsdown there say !!

I heard a new one (for me) this morning. I passed an English couple who were studying a map. The wife pointed to the beach on the map at Bajondillo and said "There - we need to get to Banjo Dillow". I do hope they didn't ask any Spaniards for directions!
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often
