I have two or three friends who have returned from Spain with sizable amounts of cash in €s.
Does anyone know if there is a limit on the amount of euros i can bring in to the country (from the UK), and deposit into my account in one go. I think the amounts would be close to €4,000
Maximum cash deposit
Re: Maximum cash deposit
You can quite legally carry up to €10k within E.U countries without declaring it.
Paying into the bank here would depend on the bank, how well they know you eyc etc....and rule of thumb above €5k the bank is obliged to ask you for proof of where the money came from. But Spain being Spain everything is a bit vague and open to interpretation.

2500 euros now and they ask questions. If you have nothing to hide it doesn’t matter.
