Complaints book
I apologise if this is a stupid question but I really don't know the answer, if someone is renting out property preumably within a legal framework, do they have to keep a complaints book?
Re: Complaints book
I am sure if its a business they have to keep one.

Yes, they must have a complaints book available.

Re: Complaints book
If it's a private apartment rental, even if it's legal, it's not a "business", so no need for a complaints book. I think there's full info posted somewhere here about the new tourist rental laws and the requirements, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't include a complaints book.
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often

Re: Complaints book
We've now stopped renting out and indeed have moved house (aka downsized)! But, as a "rural" rental, operating from 2003 up to 2016 with an Andalucian Tourist Board licence, we were NOT required to have a complaints book.
Don't forget that what people refer to as the "new" rental law, was a law introduced to regulate rental activity in villages, towns and cities, in the knowledge that there were existing rules for rural properties which, as I say, did not require a complaints book.

Re: Complaints book
I agree with Trooperman and Miro. I have had VTAR licences for years. Renting in this manner is not a business. We have never been requested to provide a complaints book, only fire extinguishers, medical box etc.,
