We really need to access our bill details as we haven't had a bill through the post for the latest tiny amount taken out of our bank - just over 3 euros . We recently had smart meters installed and - because of the numbers outside the house being wrong - we are wondering if our neighbour might have our meter. If so, he will be cross, as he doesn't live at the house, so presumably has tiny bills..... we are wondering if it's possible we got his bill.

My head is in a whirl, wondering what's going on.
Irene, if you are on the Government regulated PVPC tariff, it's quite possible that this small amount does relate to your property. Over the last few weeks consumers have been receiving separate, really small bills (I got one for €0.07 - yes, 7 centimos!). It relates to a new law obliging the electricity companies to recalculate their bills to reflect the cost of comercialisation, and affects bills issued between April 2014 and December 2016. This link explains it, sorry but I couldn't find one in English.

I did receive the paper bill, which had an accompanying letter explaining the reason for it, and I know other people who have received similar ones. Given the tiny amounts involved the cost of producing all these bills, additional letters and postage must be horrendous.

Highly unlikely but you never know. I would think you're ok though so hopefully all will be revealed when you can see all the detail. The CUPS reference should be the same on any bill you have. It is a unique point of supply reference. This explain it.
https://www.endesaclientes.com/faqs/cups-info.html Also they are very good if you can get online and go onto online chat, if you can't write and understand Spanish they''ll always find you an English speaker. So you get instant help without phoning. I've found it very useful.

Hi Irene .... no I never got any further than the email asking me to activate my account. When I try to get into the site it still keeps saying it is awaiting activation .... so much hair pulling here too!

SO you can't get into "live chat" It's so helpful or just give them a call.

Thank very much, all - much appreciated. That would explain the tiny amount then and the larger sum which is pending payment is our electricity used in the last 2 months. Our last bill was in April and we had our Smart meter around that time, I think or a bit later.

Wicksey, it's frustrating that we can't get properly registered, maybe we'll start again, have another bash. Let's keep each other posted as to success or otherwise

I cannot get into the chat section as it won't recognise my account number (my Endesa one or my bank account) so it won't let me go any further. It says I "do not have any contract associated with my account". I no longer get cheap phone calls here and I really cannot be bothered to grapple with Endesa and possibly hang on far ages on the phone anyway. Even my gestoria said it took her ages to get registered so I am leaving it for now. We get our bills OK but if they cannot be @rsed to get their website working properly then I am leaving it.

I actually remember having a similar message but I had forgotten that I had registered with a user name and then later with an email address so the email address was the user name. Also there seemed to be two log in areas. I hate not being able to do something so I pursue it ad nauseum and get there in the end. Might be worth trying again with an email address and make sure the id i.e. passport or Nie is exactly as per the bill and the CUPS number . My friend's was an expired passport which caused problems until we realised what it was.

Wicksey wrote:Yes definitely chose the NIE option Gerry. Just tried again ... says "invalid NIE number". Are you using the site in English or Spanish? I am using English but wonder if it worked OK if I did it all in the Spanish one.
I had to keep trying. It did with me for a while but then all of a sudden it let me in and I was able to register!

The difficulty for Wicksey and me doesn't appear to be the registering. We have been accepted, it's just that clicking the link in the e-mail, which is what is supposed to activate the account - doesn't. Everything went through fine, NIE, account no. My OH is going to try to do it on a mobile app. He doesn't like to let it go, either fyfin lol.

Last resort, send them an email in English and they do reply in English as well. Always worth a shot. [email protected]

Hi All,

Having a 'mare trying to access My Endesa online - keep getting This user is pending activation". Registered successfully a couple of weeks ago and can download bills but can't seem to do anything else. Has anyone else solved this conundrum?

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Nope, never managed to get into the site. It just shows the same message as you that it is pending activation.

I have managed to activate my account. Do not ask me how. They sent the same link they sent you to activate the account and it has!

If you are having a problem try the online chat option. This is a text based service so you have time to run the questions an answers through a translation program if necessary.

I've just had a look at some emails I received late last year from Endesa when I was contacting them about a power problem at the house, and noticed that there was a email telling me my password has changed. I have just tried logging on with that and amazingly it has worked

Glad you finally got logged in Wicksey, i tried the online chat feature but it's absolutely crazy because after giving your name etc they require you to log in...If i could log in i wouldn't be having any problems.
