Re: Username change
Hi elusive,
Best to contact/PM Mods on this one..........
From a very old Post by Beachcomber..............
"There is no facility for you to change it yourself. If you send a PM to admin using this link:
Link not working...........
they will probably do it for you. Alternatively you could re register with your new username but you would lose you post ranking."

All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.
Re: Username change
Seem to remember RichardCoeurdeLion used to have a different name and had to change it via admin. Just confirming what Enrique said...

Re: Username change
Yes, its possible. Elusive, PM me with your choice of new name and I will sort it out. If it causes any subsequent problems, sorry about that but sometimes the devil you know is the best option!

Re: Username change
Why would change your user name? Its not like it your real name.

Re: Username change
Yes I did change my user name ( or rather Sid or admin did it for me)
There was a good reason for the change

Re: Username change
Why not just register again with the name you want to use.
Re: Username change
Maybe because they've been a member for more than 5 years with nearly 900 posts want to keep that?

Re: Username change
Just don't try changing your e-mail address for notifications. I did (because I wasn't getting any notifications) , and got locked out of A.com for 10 days and admin ignored all my messages during that time. Very strange.
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often

The posts are still there, though. Or you could have a signature that says "used to be miro, search my posts"White Horse wrote:Maybe because they've been a member for more than 5 years with nearly 900 posts want to keep that?
Re: Username change
Apologies Miro, Admin certainly did not ignore your message, we might have missed it, or not logged in for a few days.
The programme is set to deactivate a member who changes their email address. Unfortunately there is no practical way to change this. Member (who change email address) have to be manually re-activated just like the new members.
