Thanks. Just to qualify regarding the Valor Catastral increase, the explanation I got was that there had been an increase of 10%, but not a re-evaluation. I'm assuming this means that the Base Imponible is still 2% and not 1.1% of the VC for form 210.

Hi R.D.

"Base Imponible is still 2% and not 1.1% of the VC for form 210."...........that depends on the 10 year revision rule...........

If you put your Location in your Profile a more specific answer could be forth coming.............

Yes. My IBI demand from the Diputación de Granada, Servicio Provincial Tributario increased 10% in 2016 compared to 2015

Hi Enrique

On my IBI demand I read 'Tipo 1,100'

I take this to mean the conversion factor is 1.1% for IRNR (Modelo 210) purposes. Do you agree?

Hi nevillewillmott,

The 1.1 % or 2% is reliant on the 10 Year Revision Rule for your Town..........

Mine was Revised 2008 so I use the 1.1%..........the Tipo: on my IBI bill is 0.740%...........I do not use this number.

Beachcomber will come along and confirm or otherwise .................. :D

Thanks Enrique. I'm in Municipo Benahavis and according to your link it was last revised in 1996 and partially in 2004, both of which are outside the 10 year rule for applying 1.1%. It looks like it continues to be 2%. In fact now I study my IBI bill I can see the last revision date was 1996...so confirmed...ho hum! Thanks for your help.

The "Tipo" on your IBI is probably the tax rate for the IBI itself. Your valor catastral times the tipo should be how much you owe for the IBI. At least it is on mine.

I will start to do battle with imputed tax form 210 tomorrow. I have had a good read through this thread and have girded my loins in bureaucratic anticipation. I thought others may fnd this thread of use again at this time of year. As an owner of a separate villa and garage I believe I must pay up for 2016 by the end of June.

Ok, I've completed the 2016 210 tax returns, importing data from 2015 and amending for new tax rates. However I cannot save this year's form data. I did the following an got the following results.

1. When I was happy with the form I clicked the top right button"optional: save file".
2. A box appeared showing the file name, "210-2016...........210.txt" and the option to open or save file
3. I clicked save and the download symbol flashed.
4. Looked in my AEAT folder where previous years' form 210 reside.
5. Not a sign of this year's file "210-2016...........210.txt"
6. Go to my download folder and All the 2016 forms are there in the above format
7. Go to my AEAT folder and I see that all my previous years returns are in the format "X123456M_2015_OA.210" i.e. My nie followed by the year and the suffix .210 not .txt

So, what am I doing wrong and how do I save my 2016 data for use next year?

I do wish it was easy to pay tax in Spain!

Hi ahtondav,

Having reread your Post....Section 6) so the saved data is there.........in your default download folder
Which if you haven't changed it will be C:\Users\username\Downloads........where username is your Login name

From a post 16 April 2017...........the last time I generated a Form 210............

The Validated .pdf file is named after the Form ID you have just generated. e.g............. 2507443705999

The Save Data Option also asks where to save file....... Format has changed to 210_2016_X1234567Y_0A_210 aText Document 5KB in size

So do a search of the whole of C:/ with 210_2016*

Also if you use Firefox you can look in your Download Icon on the top line, and find where it Download to............

Ok, Enrique, I've found them in the form

"210_2016_X1234567M_OA_210.txt"

I've renamed them, after deleting the .txt, and moved them to my AEAT folder.

But I sure don't remember going through all that last year. I'm pretty sure then that they were just automatically saved as a "210" file in my AEAT folder, so I must have done something wrong.

Hi ashtondav,
That is correct , last year the saving procedure was different ,also you had to have Java installed.

This year you can save the file to where you want............and Java not needed.

WHY have you renamed them........... :?: Have you tried to load one of those saved files...... :?: to check it loads ..... :?:

Sorry I was unclear. I didn't rename them, I just deleted the ".txt" suffix so they are consistent with previous years. Yes I populated a new modelo 210 with it so it works.

Thanks again for your help with this most frustrating form.

I'll pop down to the bank tomorrow. Well I say "pop" - it usually takes 20 minutes for the teller to process the four returns and finish with some enthusiastic rubber stamping on each sheet of paper!

I've just tried to bring up the page (from the FAQs) to start my non-res 210, but it's asking me to update Java ! Should I get rid of Java & try again, or is there another link I can use ? I did update Java recently, but from various threads, it seems to be redundant now ?

You also have a Windows 7 system............ :D

Can you run it on the Windows 7 system......... :?: if not why........... :?:

The Form also loads with Windows 7 SP1 WITHOUT Java.............

Unfortunately my XP system died the other week so I'm not able to recreate your problem at the moment.
