Accident in Foreign Car
I am in Spain on holidays with my foreign registered car. I was involved in an accident with a bus from a local small bus company, just a few scratches. The other driver has verbally admitted it was his fault and we exchanged insurance details etc. I told my insurance company back home, as per Spanish law. I have had no contact from the other driver's insurance company (MM Globallis). Any ideas what to do next, as it's been 3 weeks since the incident?

Yes I did contact my insurance comoany about this, but the system back home works differently. Unless the other driver is claiming against me (and by definition my Insurance company) then my insurance company don't get involved. Back home if I had this situation the other drivers insurance company would contact me to settle the claim directly with no involvement of my insurance company

No don't bring my car from Singapore here, wouldn't make much sense given the cost of cars in Singapore. My European car is on German plates. German Insurance company tell me that they don't get involved.

It is up to your own insurance company to make all contact with the other party and their insurers.
Talk only to your company, and take their advice.

Re: Accident in Foreign Car
If there are no personal injuries forget about it.
The first rule with insurance is, do not admit liability just exchange details and we will sort.
There is no way a bus driver admitted liability for an accident as they cannot do that even when
they know at fault.
Now if he signed something like a map of what happened that may change things?
Unless assuming there is no language barrier and everyone understood the exact
details understood all aspects of same.
Nothing will happen unless you go to a lawyer and waste money.
Just a few scratches, it happens.
Sorry...

You should have filled in a European Accident Statement
