We have recently purchased a basic cave in the Cuevas de Luna area. We need your help and expertise please.
1. What product would you all recommend to line the cave walls with? Is there a product that is unlikely to peel or flake?
2. We need to consider wind, solar and/or generator for power. Anyone tried wind?
3. We will need wifi for work. I have contacted Habland but w0uld you recommend another coma-you for this area?
4. We are considering air flow in the back of the caves to try and elevate damp. Any suggestions to the best methods/products?
Any help in any area would be hugely appreciated as we are on a steep learning curve. Thank you all.

Re: Pitfalls of reforming a cave?
There must be dozens of sites, reports and blogs on the web about cave living and renovation. I would be looking there first.

I didn't realise we had that experience in our midst! Thanks, Enrique - and good luck with the search you two.

Re: Pitfalls of reforming a cave?
Thank you Enrique. I have tried to do my research but the web does not appear to be very helpful. There must be new techniques that may be better than the old and well tested methods especially when lining a cave. Or, perhaps not.....I cannot find one.
Re: Pitfalls of reforming a cave?
If the "the old and well tested methods" work why do you need a new method?
Cheers

Re: Pitfalls of reforming a cave?
If you need a paint for rock walls which is unlikel to peel or flake, use Antigotteras from TKrom. It's a very high quality 'caucho', which is impermeable, satin finish, and extremely hard wearing. Available in white amd several colours, and water-based. As such, it can be tinted to any colour you want.
