My Hermes

Postby gerryh » Sun Jul 23, 2017 4:12 pm

I'm having a parcel sent from the UK via My Hermes.
Anybody know who delivers My Hermes parcels here in Spain?
My Hermes website just states that is is delivered by an associate carrier.
Cheers

Gerry,
I've had several parcels sent by 'My Hermes', however they have all been delivered to me by different couriers, as you are probably aware all of the deliveries are 'bid for' by the different carriers, however if you follow the tracking it usually tells you who will it will be delivered by.
Sorry I can't answer your question fully, but hope my reply helps.
Regards,
gordon

We had a delivery via Hermes some time back and when it seemed a bit overdue we wanted to check it ... the tracking information seemed to get stuck with it sitting in Seville forever .... It seemed that the only way to check it more directly, was to ask the vendor to intervene as the tracking is set up to follow their package, rather than your delivery. So we had to hassle the vendor in the UK several times to stir up the delivery - all got to be a bit of a nightmare.
Moral is - keep checking the tracking system and if you think it is delayed, expect to have to phone the vendor for them to appeal to Hermes for progress.

Gerry.

We bought two items recently. First one has no tracking info yet. Second one showed delivered yesterday! Called into our local petrol station today and both were there. The Seur or whoever have obviously cut out that tedious ringing of the customer, can't find you, can I meet somewhere bit and defaulted to telepathic comms and just dropping it off.

The tracking for my package has been updated to say" Your parcel has been received at the depot."
Doesn't say whose depot but does say "The delivery date of your parcel should be no later than 02/08/2017 "

Gerry,
Normally I've not received updated tracking details until the parcel has arrived in the destination country, with My Hermes-E-Bay Global Shipping it appears to be about 4 days before it leaves UK.
I'm told that it takes a few days for the parcel to be passed on to the appointed carrier in UK and I've then had my parcels delivered by all of the 'well known' courier firms and some private carriers, and I must add that all have given me a good service.
Going the 'other way' I sent a parcel last week by P2GO, booked on Monday and it was collected by a private courier at 8pm on Tuesday ( they contacted me to say it would be a late collection ), the parcel was dispatched from Malaga the next morning and delivered on Friday in UK by Parcelforce, the only problem was that Parcelforce don't appear to telephone/contact the recipient, but all excellent .!
Regards,
Gordon

This morning still showed "Your parcel has been received at the depot."
Got a phone call at 3:00 PM from the Correos Express delivery driver to say he'd be an the Cepsa fuel station in 5 minutes.
