I hope this post is permitted as I think it might be of interest to other members who do (and don't ) remember the 60s...
Just a quick plug for the folks at Radio Caroline who are doing lots of special programmes over the weekend and through to Tuesday, in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Marine Offences Act that attempted (and failed) to silence them. More details here:

They've had film crews from BBC and ITV out on the ship and there will be some coverage in their respective breakfast programmes tomorrow (Monday) if anyone is interested.

What a sad day August 14th was for "Pirate Radio"listeners but that night on 259 made for wonderful listening, I fell asleep listening to Sir Johnnie Walker,will always remember that night.
