Hi,
From Flexo's................. " Fertilizer store (Abonos)"

I'm guessing these warehouses are more common in the rural areas where it is largely agricultural .

They deal in Fertilizer only...........,we have them up this way as its wall to wall olives.

I'm guessing you will not need 30kg sacks of the stuff................

No I don't want a large quantity, but we have a gardening centre just down the road, I am guessing they probably have it there in smaller packets.

Just an update. Went to the gardening centre and asked for Epsomita or Suphato de Magnesio, they looked at me blank but the girl on the tills spoke quite good english so I explained the problem with my hibiscos. She said yellowing leaves all over the plant is either too much water or not enough. Well I give it a good watering first thing in the morning so I think probably I am giving it too much, it is approx. an 8 inch wide pot and I am giving it about a pint of water every day so I might just lessen it off a bit. She said it is trial and error, try giving it less and then if it doesn't work give it more. Anyway they recommended something called Reverdeciente Which apparently is Iron and said it will turn the leaves back to green and told me how much to use. So I will try that, I don't want to lose my beautiful golden yellow hibiscus which is covered in flowers at the moment  !

The current doctrine in horticulture is to not remedy a single deficiency with a nutrient but to make a correct analysis and make a total holistic remedy including site, soil analysis, irrigation and complete fertilizer. You never just add magnesium without having done water and soil analysis.

Well the garden centre sold me the correct fertiliser and I have a PH and water testing instrument. I haven't a soil content and water testing kit so I have to do it by trial and error. . :D
