Firefox crashing
Just tried to start Firefox as usual each morning, and it keeps showing a warning that it has crashed. I tried restarting Firefox, then restarting the pc, neither of which worked. I then uninstalled it, and downloaded a fresh one, installed that, but I'm still getting the same message.
What next...?
(Windows XP3)

Re: Firefox crashing
Hi chrissiehope,
"Windows XP/Vista/Server 2003 are no longer supported by regular Firefox releases. These users should migrate to ESR 52."
You can give it a try............
While your mind is focused ..........why are you using XP....if its for some special software that only runs on it, what happens if the system goes pop tomorrow........is it backed up Can you get replacement parts for a very old system
Use your Windows 7 system for day to day stuff...............

Re: Firefox crashing
paulinmalaga - no, I didn't download anything yesterday & I ran malwarebytes this morning (as usual) & it came up clear
enrique - I downloaded the ESR version. I'm still using XP because I haven't had time to change everything over, and yes, there are programs that won't work on W7. I back up every now & then, usually I remember when I've spent a long time doing something, such as graphics.. I will get round to using W7 on a more regular basis, but I do find it frustrating to use so it takes me much longer to do anything...

Re: Firefox crashing
It didn't that was the one I had already downloaded, which also crashed. I am now using Palemoon, but every time I click on a link in an email, it tries to open a page in Firefox, so I have to copy the link & paste it into a Palemoon page.
As well as running Malwarebytes this morning, I ran Ccleaner this afternoon. I'm hoping that tomorrow might bring a miraculous recovery, but I'm not holding my breath
