Spanish Airport Workers Strike

Postby Parilla » Fri Sep 08, 2017 5:04 am

Has anyone heard any news from yesterday's "last ditch" talks to avoid the proposed action ?

Have tied googling but can't seem to get a bite.

Not so. According to an EOS report the strikes are continuing in October. See website below.

It appears the "last ditch" talks yesterday were "positive" but not to all parties satisfaction so there are further talks arranged for next Tuesday. The unions have agreed to suspend the first of the planned 25 days of strikes which was due to be across all airports next Friday. This is only a suspension, not a cancellation, and they have said all outstanding matters have to be resolved by the end of this month, or the strikes will go ahead. Fingers crossed.
