Wollie, there is information on Ryanair's website on the home page, you will see text in small red print regarding flight cancellations. If you click on the text it takes you to all the flights which have been cancelled for the next 2 days, so far they are showing today's and tomorrows cancellations which i imagine will be updated again tomorrow..They have said that you will receive an email if your flight is cancelled.

Quoting Posts
Please use the quoting of previous posts facility sparingly and never quote, in full, the post immediately preceding yours.

Strange rule as the post previous to yours maybe the one you want to quote from. If it was a short quote you would have to quote all of it.

Tried that once but by the time I'd completed the post and submitted it 2 other posts had appeared which made my post look very odd and confusing (please don't come back with "type quicker") :D

Re Ryanair cancelling flights.
Surprised that there isn't some sort of trade body as well as the government department telling Ryanair to get their act together.

I agree that's a very good point.
Most of these carriers offer packages so i am thinking it is likely that
this one is covered as they likely say that option is already there.
For cheapies like me who "wing it" its the chances we take.
I would not like to be sitting opposite O'Leary tomorrow
as he heavy hitter.
It's absolutely silly that HR did not roster pilot holidays.
That's my understanding of what happened

They are saying if you have not had an email to the address used to bokk then you are not cancelled. They have also given in and published the details of the cancelled flights, so far at least up to next Wednesday.
I think the reason wollie has hard landings is because he says he flies on "boings", a bit like Zebedee?

Boing, boing in a Boeing! I like that, very amusing.

Maureen

Take your point, but most parts of southern Spain have excelllent 3G coverage. So if your normal source of internet is not available you can turn on the 3G on your phone to access your emails. Plus if it is as important as flight information, surely most people could ask a friend to look it up for them or go to a local cafe/hotel. These days they all have internet from one source or another.

Was out walking south of Granada 2,500 feet above sea level recently and needed to check whether a particular flight was on time. Switched on mobile data and the 3G signal was excellent.

Alcala Barry....im afraid Maureen has a very valid point regarding poor wifi signal in parts of Andalucia...Where our property is located the signal is very poor..Yes if ypu are on top of hill ypu may get a good signal but for those located in a dip with hills all around then it can be a different story...

"Rival Norwegian Air (NWC.OL) said on Monday that it had recruited more than 140 pilots from Ryanair this year, "
Obviously tempted by the free onboard wifi....fly the aircraft and catch up with Facebook?

Couldn't resist this one - was that a typo? Surely you meant that they seem to lose the pilot?
