I would think the implication is there. if you had bought a mac you wouldnt be in the postion you are now. What operating system you use doesnt have a direct correlation to what email account(s) you have. I presume gmail is the biggest yet it can be accessed via any operating system.

My chromebook takes about 3 seconds to boot up. Gone are the days when my old dell desktop took a cuppa and a sandwich and a toliet visit to boot up!

I agree that they will do that, but not always. Read that thread and you will see that is not always the case.

Anyway, we are getting off topic so let's get back to Outlook.

Are you all going a bit off topic here?

Did you not read my last post? I thought I made myself quite clear.

Back on topic ;-) I was on the phone to Autoglass today, and the girl said it might be a few days before I get the document I wanted, as there was a big backlog of emails..... I asked, but she didn't know, if the company uses Outlook, but we agreed it sounded likely !

Looks like MS have screwed up again. The latest Apple iPhone/iPad IOS update which went out last night does not work with Outlook servers as MS haven't made it compatible and are recommending using the Outlook App rather than the Apple built in Mail app.

That's really not acceptable as the new IOS version has been available as a free public Beta for three months. MS should have picked up the incompatibility during that time.

Pretty standard stuff from Microsoft also using the outlook app on iOS is a massive privacy/security issue as It stores your email on Microsoft cloud servers. Not good. Many Mac using companies totally ban the use of the Outlook app.

Not all MS accounts are affected though. I have a live account which is working fine on IOS 11

It should be made a punishable offence putting any Microsoft Software on a Mac.....like putting Ford Mondeo floor mats in a Ferrari :D (written very tongue in cheek)
