Now TV Box question
Re: Now TV Box question
You need a HDMI2AV converter, available from Amazon, Ebay local TV shop etc.
Plug in the AV side to your TV with your AV cables, the red, white and yellow cables with phono plugs, and the HDMI side to your NowTV box.

Hi Gerry
I'm looking on Amazon and it seems to be a box. Do they come with the coloured wires?
Sorry to be so dim!

Probably not.
Most TVs are supplied with the AV leads when you buy the TV. All the TVs I have bought have come with them.

Not my experience. The last 4 TVs I have bought only came with a power cable.

Not wishing to start a "oh no they don't, oh yes they do" perhaps it's Samsung, whose TVs I think you buy, don't normally supply them. I know I have had them with my, non Samsung, TVs.
I'll have a look through my "odd leads that I won't throw out, in case I might need them one day" box tomorrow as I'm sure I have several of them, and possibly a HDMI2AV box as well.
If I still have them then Unicorn is welcome to them.

Gerry & Sid
I have cables that have come with TVs with three colour cables on one end and one jack on the other, which seems to help nowt!!!
By the way, I had a look on the Now TV site and it says
How do I connect my NOW TV Box if my TV has no HDMI port?
You'll need an HDMI port on your telly to be able to connect it to your NOW TV Box. If you don’t have another TV (with an HDMI port), you may want to consider:
Giving the NOW TV Box as a gift to a friend or family member.
Returning your box. If the gift of giving isn’t appealing, you could always return your box and ask for a refund.
It seems they say you can connect other ways with the white box but not the black one.

Re: Now TV Box question
You’re right Gerry, they were all Samsung! It’s logical to get some sort of cable, typically an HDMI cable, when the box you buy plugs into a TV, but Samsung clearly believe that it doesn’t work the other way round! As a result I have a box full of HDMI cables.
Cheapskates, but they do make nice TVs.

Had a look but no longer have the cables, I probably chopped them up for other uses.gerryh wrote: I'll have a look through my "odd leads that I won't throw out, in case I might need them one day" box tomorrow as I'm sure I have several of them, and possibly a HDMI2AV box as well.
