I907 code change??
I907 code change??
We have just lost our picture and it comes up 'scrambled' on the screen. Have others been affected .... possible code change?
Re: I907 code change??
No. No changes on ours. Have you tried unplugging etc. As ours has done that before
Re: I907 code change??
Aahhh ... just us then? I did do the unplugging thing but it was still scrambled. I shall try again and leave it off for longer. It pixilated then froze, then went scrambled on all channels.
Re: I907 code change??
It's back again! We have noticed it pixillating a few times in the past couple of weeks (with clear skies so not affected by cloud) so not sure if there's something starting to go wrong.

Re: I907 code change??
If the codes change you will get nothing at all. If it's pixelating it's probably and antenna/LNB issue.

Dish disturbed by recent high winds? Dish alignment very critical for this one.

Re: I907 code change??
The old satellite used to do this at a certain time of day (around 11am), only for about 15 minutes, due to the alignment of the sun and the signal. I have no doubt that this is the same thing, but of course at a different time of day and date range. Give it a few days and all will be well. Use the time for a siesta....

It's called Sun Outage. It lasts from the 3rd to 11th October and today it will happen between 15.44 and 15.58 for I907. The Sky Astra satellite will be affected between 11.32 and 11.46

That's interesting Sid. That coincides with the times for yesterday more or less ... right in the middle of Yes Minister! My OH always says it's a 'plane crossing over the signal and blocking it
Strange things are happening in our house lately anyway. One of the bathroom spotlights went out a little later yesterday and the others looked dimmer than usual. Later that evening the spotlight was working again and the lights were back to their usual brightness. We had to buy new spotlights for the kitchen as they kept flashing on and off and we presumed it was a problem with the transformer. We seem to be back to normal today.

It is cheapskate coverage, could not avoid knowing the result as it was hours earlier!

Re: I907 code change??
How is it cheapskate coverage? They provide lengthy "highlights" which last almost as long as the full BBC coverage lasted. The fact that it has to be delayed by a few hours is down to the commercial agreements. I think the C4 commentary and background stuff is miles better than Sky.
If you really want to watch it a 7am on a Sunday morning, get a Sky subscription.

Or find access to "Eir Sports Ireland" which has all races live - and has the C4 commentary team...
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it

Re: I907 code change??
I am raising this old thread as the Autumn "Solar Outage" is affecting i907 satellite signals in the afternoon for a few days, so if your signal suddenly goes - don't panic. It happens every year in October and again in March.
