Re: AP7
We did it a couple of weeks ago when going to the Starlite and I think it was around 7.5 euros. Don't recall exactly as my car is RHD so my wife is next to the toll booth and paid.

Re: AP7
Too late for the OP, but I took the AP7 in October to get to Duquesa. I joined the A7 at J222 (Arroyo) as A7's 3 lanes and 120kph anyway. When the A7 splits off and trundles through at 100kph (if you're lucky at some times of the day) just before Fuengirola, I stayed on the peaje. Pleasant 120kph until a €2.80 toll stop just after the Calahonda turnoff. No further stops across the carriageway until it finished at Estepona and I think it came to €7.90 altogether. I was also in a hurry to Calahonda on another day and took the AP7, turning off just before the booths but the slip exit had a machine barrier so the €2.80 still applied.
It is faster than the A7, although I haven't tried it when the A7 is ReallY backed up from El Faro to Fueng about 7pm, but not so much that I'd make a regular habit of it. When I was looking at properties around Duquesa, all the estate agents were saying "within an hour's drive from Malaga airport" which certainly hasn't been my experience on the A7. Using the AP7, I got to Duquesa from Benalmadena Costa in 1hr 15mins max legal speed and encountering no traffic holdup. You can imagine how surprised I was to find agent's info to be inaccurate.

Not sure what you mean here, maybe if you exit right before Marbella it is only a few minutes but if you are going towards central Marbella it has to be more than a few minutes, I remember last time I did that in heavy traffic, it took foreeeeever.scotty wrote:If you don't go on the AP7 and just exit onto the A7 it's only three or four minutes longer in journey.

Re: AP7
Coming from Airport, take the exit for A7 not AP7. Thats the old road and it tracks the coast. Yes it's busier but moving at 80 Km's most of the way unless it's blocked by an accident it really isn't a lot slower.
