Abandoned possibly stolen Scooter from Spain in England -SUZUKI BURGMAN 125
Hello
I saw a bike for sale on ebay
I spoke to the current owner/ seller of the scooter and he told me that the scooter
" had been abandoned in Enfield London .It was then recovered by enfield councils environmental services and then sent to a scrap yard and sold to Him"
i am trying to find out if the bike was actually stolen and if the owner has been paid out by his insurance
it had Spanish number plates on it but they were removed some time before the ebay auction
its a silver Suzuki Burgman 125 ,its a 2007 model
I have checked to see if its stolen using the NICB .org website using its its VIN number but no data is recorded so it seems it is not stolen.
and I also paid for a check on uk.vin-info and it came up clear
are there any Spanish databases I can check or any facebook groups any advice would be great

Trafico in Spain should be able to confirm if you give them the Vin number.

If you enter the VIN number into the English version of the website https://uk.vin-info.com you will get the results in English.
You need to pay to see the full report.

I was under the impression https://uk.vin-info.com/ would check all the countries In Europe .But in the report I paid for it made no expressed mention of checking ANY Spanish stolen databases.
.
https://uk.vin-info.com/ checked the following stolen databases
Germany
Czech police
Netherlands
Sweden
Romanian police
Poland
Germany
European internet registry
Norway
Slovenian
internet registry of stolen vehicles
okay I will try and figure it out myself in the meantime if anyone knows the Spanish owner of this bike let me know and I will try and help him

I agree. I use it a lot. I needed to write an email in German this morning. Just for a check I translated the German to Spanish and then from Spanish to Vietnamese and then back to English. It was word perfect!

I am not familiar with the Spanish organisations that deal with stolen scooters in your country
ie your version of the DVLA ,your version of the Spanish crime bureau
and other databases in Spain so I requested the forum members help .
And the main reason I am on here is I also wanted your assistance in helping find your fellow Spanish citizen who previously owned the scooter as he/she most probably had his scooter stolen while in London and may still be looking for his scooter ? I felt I had a moral duty to do this .As I know how it feels to have your expensive vehicle stolen.
You had the opportunity to help the SPANISH person who had his/her expensive scooter stolen, the previous owner may be in financial trouble as a result of this believed theft( if his bike was indeed stolen )
In England people are more proactive and we have individuals who have tracked down the original owners of stolen scooters just look at the work handmuffwarrior on youtube and also biker biker .
I am sorry my expectations of you were so high .
anyways if the owner does read this post send me a message and I will try and help you even if no one else is willing to

Some of us did try to help you. It's quite simple you pay for the information from the Spanish site and do a Google translate.
How do you know that the scooter was owned by a Spanish person and that it was stolen?
Could have been owned by an expat who, for whatever reason, decided to leave Spain and return to the UK.
Possibly when he got there he couldn't be bothered to re register the scooter and abandoned it?
Cheers

Here is my take on this, the Original poster is a pizza delivery person who has had his scooter nicked and now trying to get others to track it down, I agree this topic should now be closed as the o p is clearly becoming irate and confrontational !
