what's the rate for 2017 ? Ithought it was 19% b ut the 210 isn't liking it !
Edit - I've just done a search & found a post from Beachcomber in Jan this year:

" The information from AEAT, when the rates were last published, stated that the tax rate of 19% would continue for 2017 unless a new rate was published, which it hasn't. If there were to be a change of rate for 2017 you would get an error message because the tax rate is checked against the fiscal year by the program."

So, has it changed ?

This is what I'm getting - box 21, where I've entered 19% (as 19,00 in the 2 boxes by 21)

Just a reminder that the form 210 has changed for this fiscal year (declarations for imputed tax to be made from 1st January 2019 onwards). The headings are the same but the way in which it is submitted is slightly different as is the method of saving and retrieving the declaration.
I had read of that, thanks, and look forward to the updates. I am going out to print off my good looking forms (maybe even buy a printer for Spain soon) and hopefully have some successful time at Cajasur and also applying for a dig sig at Torremolinos. As many have said, your guides are real gold dust. For a 1st time attempt (if it hadn't been for my not-so-clever adaption) it walked me straight through. Asesoria quotes of €75-85 for a €150 bill...

Hello - is the tax rate for 2018 (payable by end of 2019) still 19% for British non-residents?

Also do you think the 2019 rate (payable by end of 2020) will be apportioned and calculated as one quarter 19% and three quarters 24% because of Brexit (if it happens?).

Thanks

I have a further question regarding the selling of a property, and what tax you pay for the time you still owned the property in the year of sale. Is it pro-rated to the percentage of the year you owned the property, and how is it paid, if it has to be paid by the end of the following year, if you are no longer an owner?

Yes, it is 19% for 2018.

The rate for 2019 will be whatever it is on 31st December 2019.

In the year that you sell you pay pro rata for the number of days you owned it during that year and it will be payable by the end of the following year just as it is normally.

Help please!!! I am heading to Spain in the next couple of days and have tried completing the new 210 for for 2018 declarations. I tried completing it on 3 different browsers but keep getting error message 001 - There are no errors . The for will just not generate for me. I don't know what else to do. I have been completing this for online for years with no problems. Anyone any ideas ? Thanks, Samaga

Are you using the correct form?

It is slightly different for 2018.

I am not sure if you have now been successful of not. Please clarify.

As well as 'Validar declaración' you need to click on 'Generar predeclaración' on the extreme bottom right with the AEAT logo next to it.

Hi Beachcomber,
Thanks , I didn't know I had to do that, I thought it was a similar process to other years ! Are there any other steps I have to follow ?
