Hourly rate for a cleaner?
Does anybody on here know how much to pay a house cleaner please?
It would only be from around April until the end of September/October time and for approx 3-4 hours per day (2 days per week).
Any guidance appreciated thanks.

Thank you sassy, I thought it may have been around that figure. Shame about your lady retiring!
It's difficult finding someone you can trust etc. We have average sized 3 bed villa on mijas golf and 10 days ago had a company come in and clean all the floors and surfaces etc. There were four of them and they charged 250euros for 3.5 hours work! Dont want to pay that every week! I do a much better job myself but just can't russle up the energy lol!

My company charge €16 per cleaner per hour for non contracted clients & €14 an hour for contracted clients - People with an annual property management contract. Prices are inclusive of all cleaning materials.
From market research of 10 + other companies & client feedback we found our charges about "average".
My cleaner charges me €10 per hour but I provide everything for her.
Hope this helps.

Hello, does anyone know a good cleaner in Huetor Tajar? Could be a company. I'm not there at the moment and it is proving difficult to find a cleaner for the house.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Hourly rate for a cleaner?
I believe €10.00 per hour is the norm, when I was spending time in La Carihuela a couple of years ago it was €9.00 per hour, my friend who lives in Coin pays €10.00 per hour and we pay the same in Gran Canaria, that's black of course.
If you pay a company it will be much more because of course they want to make a profit !!

Re: Hourly rate for a cleaner?
any pointers as to how many hours a 3 bedroomed, 2 reception room, 2 bathroom, kitchen diner with roof terrace should take to 'turn round' in-between stays. an educated guess is all I'm after... does the 10e per hour inc laundry? do they put spares on beds and return later with washed and dried stuff? sorry for the newbie questions. just want to get an idea on what is reasonable to expect...

Re: Hourly rate for a cleaner?
In my experience they would dump the laundry in the washer then clean the house inc changing bedding etc, then start to clean, it really depends on what you want them to do.
I reckon your house would be a 3-4 hour job (they're usually pretty thorough) so €40.00 euros is not a bad price, in my view !!

Re: Hourly rate for a cleaner?
I think Manchesteral has it about right in the fact that the bedding will go in the washer while they are cleaning, if there are 2 people then i can't see it taking any more than 3hrs including drying and ironing the bedding, you could be looking at 50-60 euros.

I was talking to the waitress in my local bar last night who told me her mum works as a cleaner and receives around €900.00 per month take home pay all legal, and she is very happy with that, it's a full time job, around 7-8 hours per day.

Re: Hourly rate for a cleaner?
It’s bad but not as bad as a few years ago. In Andalucia overall rate is 25%, under 25 is still very high at 49%.
