Fuengirola is a mecca for partygoers and clubbers of all ages. Not only does it boast some of the best disco pubs and clubs on the Costa del Sol, but everything is situated close to the centre of town which is ideal for bar hoppers. Attracting some of the more casual revellers, including thousands of tourists during the summer season, Fuengirola caters to all tastes and requirements.
Music Bars in Fuengirola
London Pub
Fuengirola's best-known English bar has a large outdoor terrace with waiter service. Inside a pleasant pub-like décor, with music from yesteryear plus more up to date sounds from the resident DJ. Open until 4am, this is one of the town´s most popular venues for late night entertainment. Situated centrally on Fuengirola´s busy promenade close to hotels, bars and restaurants, and right next to a taxi rank.
Beetle Bar
The motto here is if you like the car, you'll like the bar. Complete with a Beetle car as a DJ booth, this disco pub plays all types of music and has waiter service on its spacious terrace. Not only for the young crowd, the Beetle Bar has a regular clientele at weekends and gets particularly busy during the summer months. Beetle mania of a different kind is evident here, and the bar is decorated in honour of the famous car of the same name. Different music plays nightly to attract a varied crowd.
Star Disco Bar Circular Underground Club
Star is small, cosy and always fills up. Varied music and a great atmosphere with visitors bopping till dawn. A central location close to all other pubs, bars and clubs, and one to watch out for in the summer months when several guest DJ´s and star performers take their turn on the decks. One of the more established clubs in this busy resort. Boasting fabulous decor and stylish seating, this club comes highly recommended.
Linekar's Bar
Founded by members of the famous Linekar´s football family, the bar of the same name claims to be the biggest in Fuengirola and attracts a mixed crowd from families to the young at heart. Drinks are cheap, music is loud and the atmosphere is fantastic. Close to the port with DJ or live music (weekends). This popular and spacious bar seats 200 people and is a mecca for football fans with all sporting events shown live on 10 TV screens with commentary in English. A fun and casual atmosphere with comfortable and attractive interiors and terrace area.
Discos and Clubs
Sal´s Paradise
This fabulous live music bar is seen by many as being the best venue of its kind in Fuengirola. Situated on the west end of the Paseo Maritimo (at the castle end of the promenade), Sal´s offers live music every night from 10pm. In addition to the amazing live concerts, Sal´s also hosts Jam Sessions every Tuesday night, and all musicians are welcome to join in.
Oasis (Formally Suondo)
Impressive night club is situated next to Dunnes Stores near Centro Miramar, about 1km from the centre of Fuengirola. With space for 800 guests, this gem of a disco is situated on one level, comprising of a large rectangular area with two bars and large dance floors. The DJ plays in front of a wall-sized quadrangle of coloured light screens, resembling a large rubik´s cube, which give a fantastic effect from the dance floor. This is one to watch, as it could easily become Fuengirola´s most talked about nightspot. Basshunter “All I ever wanted” video was filmed here.
Millenium
Millenium is a smoochy,dark club that offers the latest UK house music. Also boasting a comfortable outdoor terrace and bar for those hot summer evenings, this is one of the most chic nightspots in town. A regular clientele frequent this popular club, plus hundreds of tourists in the busy season. Millenium offers a chilled out, informal atmosphere and some cool sounds.
Funk Club Funk
Hip-hop, trip-hop and house for the serious clubbers. You won´t find any disco sounds here, and this hard core club is situated on the Avda.Raón y Cajál. Open from 10pm, the music is loud and hard hitting, and attracts a younger crowd from all over the Costa del Sol. Not for the faint hearted or the Abba fans!
Maxi's Disco
Located centrally on the promenade, Maxi´s disco has been long established in Fuengirola, and is particularly popular with older clubbers. Mostly playing music from the sixties and seventies with a healthy mix of Bob Marley and rock 'n roll, this place keeps the oldies bopping till the early hours of the morning. Reminiscent of many disco style clubs in the UK, Maxi´s enjoys a great location and offers plenty of good honest fun. Late bar and reasonable prices make this a mecca for the over 25´s.
Heaven´s Gate
Open from 11pm to 7am, Heaven´s Gate is the choice of many trendy, European tourists, who have found their very own version of Heaven in this slick club. Playing modern dance tracks and boasting a fantastic sound and light system, this club continues to attract a cool crowd.of well-heeled clubbers from all over Andalucia and beyond. Loud and late, this venue gets particularly busy in July and August, and offers some of the best music in town.
Aqualum Late Night Venue
Decked out to resemble a fish bowl, bright blue paint and mirrors adorn the walls and the toilets in this fabulous club. With off the wall quirky decor and a licence to thrill late into the night, this is one of the best places to go when all the other bars are shut. Attracting a mixed crowd, this is one of the biggest bars in Fuengirola, and is the perfect late night venue for holidaymakers and locals alike. Zanadus
Enjoying a great location just beneath Helicopteros Sanitarios in Los Boliches, Zanadus is a down to earth cabaret and karaoke bar with friendly service and reasonably priced drinks. Hosting live music on Fridays and Saturdays, and karaoke every night, this is a lively venue which attracts visitors from all over Fuengirola. A great place for families and popular with tourists – particularly during the summer months.
