The Club de Campo requires strength and strategy
to navigate the stands of well established trees and natural lagoons.
Although flat with wide fairways, the trees make things more difficult.
The 12th hole is a good example of this lurking danger.
Also known as the Parador - it belongs to the state-run
hotel chain - is the oldest course on the Spanish mainland. Designed
by Mr.Simpson in 1925, the flat, links-style layout was extensively
refurbished before it staged the 2000 Turespaña Masters on
the European Tour won by local hero Miguel Ángel Jiménez.
