STILL
SEARCHING FOR ANDALUCIA
-
The combination
of exhaustively researched detail, irreverent humour and superb photography
which made "In Search of Andalucia" unique among
books on the subject is also set to continue in the second volume
of the series which is due for publication in 2003.
-
This time the
trio of Christopher Wawn, David Wood and photographer
Michelle Chaplow will be turning their eyes on the ancient
town of Ronda and its white village satellites. Ronda's rich seam
of history is more than matched by the untouchable splendour of its
location. Straddling its two hills high in the mountains, the views
from its miradors have become legendary
-
The town they
call "the eagles' nest" was a natural target for the "In
Search of Andalucia" team, and as a starting point to investigate
the white villages of the serrania, from Benaoján to Benarrabá,
Cortes de la Frontera to Gaucín, it was irresistible. "In
Search of Andalucia" Volume 2 will undoubtedly be one of the
most eagerly awaited books of the new year.
