Edited by the Restauranteurs Group "De Par en Par" (Par by Par) is a complete guide covering a wide area of Spain. This valuable guide includes descriptions of 168 golf courses and reviews of more than 500 restaurants and 350 hotels in over 200 districts. To launch the publication a special dinner was held in the prestigious Hotel Puente Romano in Marbella on February 21. Representatives of the participating companies, advertisers, media personnel, companies with working relationships with the Restauranteurs Group, plus politicians and other dignitaries were on hand. Par en Par is 250 pages divided into three sections. The first provides detailed descriptions of the 168 golf courses, how to play the course, it lists the management, additional facilities, the type of course and the geographical setting. The second section is a complete guide to the best restaurants in the vicinity of the courses. The restaurants cover the principle gastronomic regions of the country and are classified by community and province, and according to the quality of food and service. A description of the best hotels in the neighbourhood of the golf courses completes this extensive and informative guide.

The Royal Golf Club of Seville Welcomes "The King's Cup" (Copa S.M. El Rey
) For the first time in its 86 year history the Kings Cup was held in Seville this year. Hosted by the Royal Golf Club of Seville between February 26 and March 2, 138 participants competed in the International Amateurís Championship which has been held in various corners of Spain since 1911. |

Andalusian Tourism Company Organizes a Golf Tournament in Berlin
Taking advantage of the International Tourist Fair being held in Berlin on March the Andalusian Tourism Company organized a golf tournament to which they invited major travel agencies and members of the German media who specialize in golf. The first of its type tournament was followed by lunch in the Clubhouse which was attended by José Nu-ez from the Andalusian Tourist Board and Luis Vázquez Alfarache, President of the Costa del Sol Tourist Board.
Canarian golfer Pedro Linhatt won the Andalusian Professionals Tournament at the Santa María Golf Club in Marbella which took place from February 19 to 21. He beat out 86 players with an 11 under par total, taking 199 strokes. Former world champion Manuel Piñero took second place with 201 shots for a 9 under par. He was followed by Daniel Westermark, 6 under par, 204 strokes then Juan Carlos Pi-ero with a 206, 4 under. In fifth place was Andres Jiménez at 208 (-2). |
