O'Neill´s Irish Pub
Draught Guinness and Irish music has made this a trendy place for young Malagueños. This spacious and lively pub is a magnet for sports lovers and fans of traditional Irish "craik". The decor has an authentic Dublin touch and with reasonable bar prices is guaranteed to start you off as you mean to go on. Situated in a central location among the mix of bulging bars and clubs.

Biblioteca
With a Victorian theme decor, Biblioteca is another of the new cool bars popping up in Malaga. Open Wednesdays to Saturdays until 4am, it is a haven for old-school House music and cocktail lovers.

La Terraza de la Alcazaba
One of the most sophisticated bar-lounges in the city, the hip rooftop top bar of the Alcazaba hostel provides stunning views of the city to admire over cocktails and premium gins. A unique chill-out zone playing ambient and electro music.

Sala Opium
Sala Opium is a stylish bar with different vibes. Open every day of the week, it packs in pop and electro crowds most nights, but from Thursday to Saturday opens at 15.30 hrs so if you are looking for early drinks in a sophisticated and ambient setting, get there early doors before the night shift kicks in.

Café Mercad 14
Café Mercad 14 is a late night café-restaurant where you can pick at tapas and drink exotic cocktails to enjoy with lively conversation. With multiple screens showing the biggest matches, it is a great place to watch football. A chilled-out and cosy late bar open from 20.00 to 02.00 and 03.00 hrs Friday and Saturday respectively.

Las Tortugas
Situated on the water front at Pedregalejo, Las Tortugas runs as a café by day and lively cocktail bar by night. The spacious straw-roofed terrace is a major attraction, and it´s perfect for a sunny winter afternoon or a hot summer's night. The bar itself is made from tree trunks and the decor is quirky. Music is varied, but is mostly Spanish disco and pop. Open from Monday to Sunday, 16.00 - 03.00.

El Jardin
Dripping with elegance on a leafy corner near the cathedral and the Picasso museum, this place is great for people watching and light healthy fare with the added perk of regular live music, including skirt-swirling Latino on Thursday nights. As its name would suggest, the bar is surrounded by some of the city's most beautiful gardens, and enjoys a stunning location.

Urbano
If you just want a drink and a chat with friends and lovers, go to a little-known place called, Urbano. It's situated off the main drag in the tranquil backstreets, and offers a wide range of beverages to see the night through. But if you are partying later, tackle a few of the mixed shots with whipped cream to get you in the mood. There are over 100 shots to sample!

Swan Café
A relaxed cocktail bar on the seafront, Swan Café offers spectacular ocean views and a great place to watch the sunset. Customarily an Irish bar, you are in for a treat of imported beers and delicious liquor-laced coffees. In the evenings, pop in for live music, magic shoes, stand-up comedy and Trivial Pursuit competitions.

Rocamar 70
The Rocamar 70 is a versatile beach bar on the Pedregalejo sea front serving up some of the city's finest cocktails until 02.00. It's a great place for socialising with friends, or starting off your night before heading off for an all-nighter in the clubs.
