For some people their holiday is spent almost entirely in the grounds - relaxing, reading, drawing, swimming, chatting. For others the hotel provides a comfortable base from which to explore. The area around the hotel is ideal for walking - along river paths, through olive groves or on high mountain ridges. Wherever you go you will be rewarded with wonderful views and discoveries. According to season there are displays of flowers and birds that it would be difficult to equal anywhere in Europe. Agriculture is still the mainstay of the local economy, and you will see mules at work, flocks of goats grazing everywhere and a wide variety of crops including sunflowers, oranges, cork, cotton and chickpeas.

Here you will find high quality leather goods, colourful ceramics, excellent cheeses and a variety of antique stores gathered round the famous bridge spanning the 100 metre deep gorge. Ronda is a bustling lively place with numerous bars and restaurants where you can sample a tempting array of "tapas". There are regular cultural events in Ronda bull .fights and dancing, displays of music and art, photography exhibitions and classes in Spanish.
Ronda is surrounded by the picturesque "White Villages" in the mountains, each with its own character and all worthy of a visit. Some of the villages have maintained their traditional crafts too: leather products and blanket-making, ceramics and woodwork. There are historic sites as well, such as the Roman theatre at Acinipo and the Pileta caves with their 10,000 year old paintings less than an hour's walk or ten minutes drive from the Molino
