of its podcasts. Andalucia.com will now be releasing podcasts
related to important sections of Andalucia. Currently we have podcasts

- Olvera
- Verdiales

Podcasts explained
Podcasting is relatively new and yet seems to be
becoming a very popular method of media publishing. The name Podcast
comes from an amalgamation of Apple's "iPod" and broadcasting.
The simplicity of this system makes it impressively easy and popular.
Podcasting uses RSS (Really Simple Syndication) to advertise what
content is available so all a user has to do is obtain the URL of
the RSS feed and enter it into their podcast
software such as iTunes. Once you have provided your software
with this script, you are informed every time there is a new podcast
available to download. Depending on your settings it can automatically
download it and put it on to your mp3 player for you.
There are many places where you can find podcasts,
the best place to look are in directories such as at podcast.net
or alternatively your software such as "iTunes" will provide
you with a directory. Podcasting has been designed to accommodate
for the masses of files available to you, to help you find things
that are actually of interest to you, it is possible to filter the
lists into genres or even search for specific topics. Once you find
something interesting you can give it a try and if you like it you
can subscribe and be notified of all new content from the same people.
Alternatively, while traversing the Internet you
may come across a symbol similar to -  .
Unfortunately there is no standard icon at the moment so you may
have to keep your eyes peeled. This icon means that the site you
are on have a podcast service which you can subscribe to. The icon
itself usually contains a link so when you click it you are taken
to a page of what looks like code. If you want to subscribe to that
podcast then all you have to do is take the URL of that page and
put it into your podcast software…and
your subscribed.
Nearly all Podcasts are free to subscribe to, subscribing
merely means adding that podcast to your list of favourites, however
there are certain podcasts which require you to pay.
