If you're planning a holiday to Andalucia in your caravan, you'll be pleased to hear that the facilities in the area are excellent, with swimming pools, laundry services and supermarkets, as well as the basic electricity and direct drain. A caravan holiday offers you the flexibility and comfort to move around and stay where you want, without having to pack and unpack. Cook in your own kitchen and eat al fresco, or enjoy a meal in the camp site's restaurant.

Many camp grounds will offer you the choice of staying either in your own caravan, or as an alternative, renting a bungalow. Prices vary from low to high season, and tourers can pay by the night while those who want to stay longer can often get special discounts.

A word about where to park your caravan: outside official designated camping areas can be met with anything from indifference to a fine. Use your common sense; although there are 'no camping' signs in national parks, these are often ignored as you're not bothering anyone. On the other hand, camping is strictly prohibited on beaches (although you can be cleverly discreet with a tent), especially in the summer months when the Guardia Civil are watching out for immigrants crossing over from Africa. The Guardia are known to wake those parked illegally on beaches and fine them heavily, based on how many square metres they're occupying.
