IDEA

IDEA is the name of the regional government’s Agency for the Innovation and Development of Andalucia. It stands for “Agencia de Innovación y Desarrollo de Andalucía”.

The agency is responsible to the Regional Governments (Junta de Andalucia) Ministry of Innovation, Science and Business ( Consejería de Innovación, Ciencia y Empresa).

Its aim is to execute the government’s policy of promotion and economic and social development and the principal objectives are:

• The implantation of new methods and models of governance.
• The support for Innovation and territorial Intelligence.
• The promotion of public and private initiatives.
• The development of the innovation and business spirit.
• The design and implantation of services and the support of quality.
• The provision of capital for the support and financiering of businesses.
• The establishment of a administrative environment conducive for the creation of businesses.
• The promotion of networking cooperation between agents in the field of Innovation Science and Business.
• The incorporation of cultural and environmental criteria and the improvement of the quality of life.
• The support of benchmarking.

IDEA has a department dedicated to the Aerospace Industry lead by Sr Francisco Mencía. IDEA owns and manages the Aeropolis Tecnology Park

The Director General of IDEA is Sr. D. Miguel Ángel Serrano. Director General de la Agencia de Innovación y Desarrollo de Andalucía (IDEA).
