Sierra Nevada - Ski Station News 2017/2018

Ski station News for the 2017 / 2018 Ski Season

The Sierra Nevada ski and mountain resort has invested 1.4 million euros in equipment for the 2018 / 2019 season.

New early morning and more night-time skiing, new children's leisure facilities and activities
Pradollano has a new toboggan park with tubing (large inflatable rings) and traditional sleighs in El Mirlo Blanco (replacing the synthetic ice rink), incorporating a new play area for children aged 0-5.
First Tracks offers early skiing on Sunday, from 7.30 to 09.00 on Loma de Dilar/Rio. In addition, night skiing has been extended to Thursdays, and El Rio slope is now also illuminated on Saturdays (19.00 to 22.00) - all depending on weather conditions, obviously.
A new restaurant with terrace is located near the Monachil chairlift in Loma de Dilar. La Cochera will open at weekends and holidays.

Watch in real time
You can also watch the action on the slopes in real time, thanks to three cameras providing video streaming in Pradollano, Borreguiles and La Laguna. A time-lapse option is also available so you can see the whole day's activity speeded up.

New machines
Three pistemaking machines (making 14 in total), nine snowbikes for the Servicio de Pistas (piste service, also making 14 in total), and three snow cannons are all new for this season.
