Torremolinos Nightlife

Torremolinos has long enjoyed a reputation as one of the liveliest resort towns on the Costa del Sol.  Torremolinos has always been popular for its glamourous nightlife and bohemian care-free attitude and this reputation was gained during the 1960s and '70s. Torremolinos' interesting history tells of the rich and famous, the beatniks and bohemians, and mass tourism frequenting the town's night clubs.

In recent years, despite ups and down, Torremolinos has more and more varied nightclubs than any other Costa del Sol resort.  Live entertainment has been one of the more recent attractions both for large events such as the Rock and Roll Meeting and the Ruta del Rock and live music in many establishments.

Numerous new bars have opened in the Plaza Costa del Sol since it was pedestrianised in December 2015, and now the main square has acquired the ambience of the Mediterranean pavement café society. The Plaza Costa del Sol has become the hub of the town and numerous free cultural events are staged in the 'open air theatre' throughout the year.
