Let's begin with your arrival to Málaga airport and then take a look at how to get back once you've enjoyed a wonderful holiday on the Costa del Sol.

From Málaga Airport West - to Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Mijas, Marbella and Estepona:

• Leave the airport and pass the BP petrol station on your left.
• At the first roundabout at the San Miguel Brewery, go straight, keeping in the right lane.
• Take the N-340 motorway heading towards “Cádiz”.
• For Torremolinos you can stay on this motorway.
• For Benalmádena, take the Benalmádena/Algeciras exit first and then watch for the main Benalmádena exit.
• For Fuengirola, follow the motorway past Benalmádena and stay in the right lane when you reach the toll road (autopista de peaje).
• For Marbella, instead of going to Fuengirola, take the Autopista de Peaje (A-7) straight through to Marbella.
• For Estepona, keep driving through Marbella. Follow the signs to Estepona. Right after the “Nagüeles” exit, stay to the left if you want to take the toll road.

From Málaga Airport East - to Málaga, Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba, Almería:

• Leave the airport and pass the BP petrol station on your left.
• At the first roundabout at the San Miguel Brewery, go straight, keeping in the left lane.
• Drive over the overpass and follow the road around to the right.
• Take the N-340 motorway heading towards “Málaga”.
• Watch for the exit to Málaga.
• When you exit the N-340 to Málaga, you can take another exit right into Málaga city or follow the A-7 motorway west to a junction where you can choose either to follow the coast towards Almería, which will take you to the Eastern Costa del Sol and the Axarquía, or head inland to Granada, Seville or Córdoba.

Driving to Málaga Airport

• Get on the A-7 motorway and follow the signs towards Málaga.
• If you are coming from the east, stay in the right hand lane as you pass through Málaga. Follow the signs to the airport.
• If you are coming from the west, watch for the Churriana/Aeropuerto de Málaga exit. This will take you to the N-340 motorway. Keep in the right hand lane until you reach the “Aeropuerto” exit.
