Buses From Estepona
The 'Portillo' bus station of Estepona town used to be located on the sea front between the centre of the town and the Marina. However, it is currently being relocated, so all buses now leave from and arrive at a stop located on Avenida Juan Carlos I, opposite the courthouse (correct as of May 2013). There is a Portillo ticket kiosk here where you can buy tickets for all services which are unaffected by the move. There are no toilets or luggage lockers availble here, however there are several bars and cafés nearby.
There is a half-hourly stopping bus which runs east to San Pedro and Marbella. Another hourly service runs west to Sabinillas, Guadiaro and La Linea (for Gibraltar). In addition, there are occasional services to the villages of Manilva and Casares.
Coaches go about every hour hour east to Marbella, Fuengirola, Torremolinos, and Málaga (8.90 euros) and west to Algeciras. The first bus departs at about 06.30 and the last one about 22.00.
A local circular bus line L1 travels from the Beverly Hills Urbanisation located 2km to the west of the town centre. It goes along the Seafront up to the Macdonalds restaurant at the east entrance of the town. It runs every half hour from 07.30 - 21.30, Monday to Sunday. There is also a second bus line (L2) that runs between Estepona town centre and Mar y Monte urbanisation to the east of the town, serving many of the hotels along the way. This line runs every half hour from 07.30 - 22.30, Monday to Friday. See the timetables for the local buses.
Daibus also operates a daily route to Madrid from Estepona.
