Now, for those who experience flamenco withdrawal in autumn without a great series of stars to watch, a new season is being inaugurated, showing top names. The Teatro Central on the Isla Cartuja is hosting I Muestra Flamenco, with 25 performances by singers, dancers and guitarists including Pastora and Jose Galvan, Rafael Campillo and Mercedes de Cordoba. The season lasts from 24 September to 13 October. Some of the highlights include 24 September - Baron y La Musica by Javier Baron 2 October - Respiro flamenco by Maria la Serrana 9 October - Guajiro by Jose and Pastora Galvan The performances take place in two separate spaces, the larger Sala A, which seats nearly 450 and Sala B, with 135. You can see Maria la Serrana dancing at her new tablao called Esencia Flamenco in Salteras, near Seville, every Friday. Highly recommended.
