If hes registaring as self employed in spain i presume he lives here? If so all is income is taxable in spain. and even if hes not living in spain if his family/ centre of life ie family and home is in spain then hacienda will class him as tax resident

Yeah its the old 90 days with an intent to stay mantra but as you say they dont enforce it with E.U nationals.

Checking what though. The owner says ive driven here from germany. Thats not illegal. The only time they could fine them is if they go say malaga province into cadiz province. Uk cars can get an ITV but it has no legal standing. It wont help if stopped by the guardia. Niether is justifiable regardless of nationality.but its worse when you are living in another country and i highly doubt these people act the same in the uk. So why do it here?
