Re: Spanish postal service
The main problem is stuff getting sent from the UK to here. About 50% gets through, taking from a few days to a couple of months - and we are in town, not out in the campo. Of course there could be more go missing than we know about as not everyone likes to ask if we got their card!

Re: Travel Covid requirements
There are many people who have the skills and qualifications to administer the vaccine (particularly the less-twitcy ones that don't need to be kept at low temperatures and must not be shaken). Tatooists, beauty therapists, dental nurses etc all have most if not all that is needed, maybe after a sho...

Re: Coronavirus
I think that anyone denying the existence and effect of the virus, or rambling on about it being some sort of big brother control plot should be made to serve time in a Covid ward, cleaning and tending to sufferers. This is real, kills people or has severe long-lasting effects and must be treated wi...

Re: Legal speeding?
But a report of the press conference on this says “ Los turismos y motocicletas no podrán rebasar en 20 km/h los límites de velocidad en las carreteras convencionales cuando adelanten a otros vehículos.”
No wonder there is no consistent enforcement!

Re: EHIC cards expiring between now and Brexit
Received our new EHICs the other day, having registered with UK govt for them, as S1-holding pensioners resident in Spain.
Of course these are not needed for the UK, but does give us cover in the whole of Europe except Spain. on the same terms as the residents of that country.

Has anyone seen that las yucas on the high street in torre del mar has closed down? Its been there since before i have.. What a shame. Are you sure it is not just a staff holiday? They did seem to have the odd closed weeks when we lived down there, and were always busy when open. It was my retreat ...

It will probably be like the banks. Those having a lot of business with clients in a Euro country will consider it worth their while sorting out licences etc, others will not.

Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
I remember the early days of the MoT - I used to give a hand at the garage where I kept my race bikes, in the leafy suburbs of Croydon. There was more than one Captain Mainwearing type who would bring in an old Jag or similar and boast that we would not find anything wrong with his pride and joy. Up...

Re: VAT post-Brexit
Not really the case mark - I have never claimed VAT back as it has always been levied and paid within the EU. With the UK no longer in the zone will they not have to/be able to charge VAT to anyone not in the UK? The whole VAT on clubs has been a bone of contention with golf clubs for example, and t...
