Re: Irish Passport/U.K. registered car/U.K.Driving Licence

Seems to me that there are 2 separate considerations: you are a UK resident, no matter what your passport says, so are restricted to 90 days in 180, and a UK registered car may only be in Spain for 90 days before it must either leave the country or be matriculated to Spanish plates. If you get pulle...

Re: Certificate for proof of Covid vaccination

"If you think England is going to be more efficiently run than here then I think you're in for a shock" Well at least if a government webpage shows a date of 4th May 2021 it will be written in numerals as 4/5/2021, and not some of it one way and some another! If donkeys' hooves could fit o...

Re: Certificate for proof of Covid vaccination

probabaly the same in Andalucia - In Murcia you can apply for a certificate at your local health centre. Ask for a Certificado de Datos Vacunales. Don’t expect the information to be accurate though: demonstrating the usual incompetence in Spain, my record showed only my first jab, on the 9th April (...

Re: TIA

You should be able to go onto the same site you used to book the initial appointment, then look for Recogida de Tarjetas - comprube tu Lote.
At the foreign office in Murcia they got me to wipe my finger across my brow, and that seemed to sort it!

Re: Monaco F1

Monaco has always been a race for the drivers. I used to race in the Isle of Man TT, and this is very similar - a very challenging course, unforgiving of rider errors, with immense history, but for spectators, who can only see the small section in front of them and with less areas where they are per...

Re: No tourists until after summer

Maybe it just doesn’t suit the gutter press to either support lawbreakers, or to bash Euro governments.
They can always fill a few pages on BBC/Bashir, or the latest ginger-whinger sermons from the mount.

It could really backfire on Boris - surely no one who lives in Sapin would support the man who drove the disastrous Brexit?

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

Did they give you any certificate of vaccination? Nothing given except the jab! When they update the Murcia Salud patient portal it should show the secong jab along with the currently listed first one. I can al least print that off if required I assume. I got more paperwork when the cat had his jab...

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

We had our 2nd (Pfizer) jab this morning. There was a separator at the entrance, with "2nd Vacuna" to the left, and " !st Vacuna" to the right. Anyone in the 75-79 age bracket that had missed out on having their first jab went right, for a single-dose Johnson vaccine.

Re: Renta 2020

Thanks beachy - all done and submitted. The form is very clear these days, opting for it in English (which has very few errors of syntax and spelling). It would take very little effort for them to make it clearer at the beginning - a simple Log In with the choice of Digital Cert/Clave/etc would make...

Re: Renta 2020

Please someone get me started: i can get in to the Renta 2020 and it loads my data. It asks if i want to incorporate pensions from abroad (a question I don’t remember seeing last year?) - all my income is this, one lot paid into UK bank, other into Cajamar. Do I simply say yes to incorporate it, or ...

Re: Certificate of Permanent Residence/T.I.E

The traffic jams seem to be a bit further up in Alicante - a real Brit haunt for years. There are lots of moans on forums from people about the DGT moving the goalposts on driving licence changes - one from an irate Brit who will now have to take a Spanish test for a car, and a wagon, then the two-s...

Re: New speed limits across Spain

Sorry, but my money will be on it being ignored by the majority of motorists and motorcyclists, simply because the Spanish hate being told what to do and just disobey. In our town there is a normal one-lane each way road, currently with a 40kph limit. This is so generally ignored that to try and get...

Not just London Mark. There are lots of 20mph zones around Leeds, coupled with horrible lumps that you straddle, pushing you into close proximity to those coming towards you, and loads of cameras!

Re: New speed limits across Spain

Bringing in new laws that will be universally broken seems madness. If they did more to reduce the speeds in towns to the present limits it would be better.
