Re: A hot day in Velez Malaga

We enjoyed the mild winters but spent the hot summers back in the UK. Now that has been spoiled by the selfish Brexit lot! The 90 day rule next year will mean we can only spend 3 months of the winter in Spain.

Mosquitos

After last year's influx of " Tiger" mosquitos which caused huge skin eruptions and blisters, I have noticed this year that the mosquitos are much smaller and tend to give a mild " nip" which itches for a couple of hours and then fades. I have just had one land on my hand and even before I could swa...

Fridge/Freezer wanted

I'm in the UK at present whilst our Spain home is let out for a couple of months. It appears that our integrated fridge freezer is on the blink so we need to source a new one and have it delivered.I have someone who could install it. I'm wondering if our members on here could post links of Spanish e...

Re: Seur and Amazon

Please don't think it's any better in the UK with Hermes deliveries. I ordered some car number plates from Ireland for delivery to my home address in Merseyside. Hermes received them Wednesday and the tracking said they were out for delivery Thursday. I left a note on the door asking to put the parc...

Re: Lloyds Bank international standing orders

Simply use Revolut or similar organisation. No charges for setting up a standing order between banks in different countries and an excellent exchange rate.

Re: Malaga car hire.

It’s important to distinguish between the minor “scams” such as
full/empty fuel policies and the downright scurrilous antics such as those practised by Delpaso. Most companies are just trying to maximise income

Edited to delete potentially libellous comment. Sid

Re: 90 day rule

I arrive in October after the tourist season and stay until December ( less than 90 days), then return to the ...

Re: Malaga car hire.

As I've advised in a number of previous posts here, please do not use Delpaso. You will be asking for trouble. The whole of the staff are involved in a scam to relieve customers of credit card payments as deposits. The management MUST be involved also as there must be a payout to the staff from cre...

Thank you northandsouth for bringing some common sense and realism to the thread. You are correct in everything you say.
If you can suggest a provider, I will be very appreciative.

Mark, I asked a simple question which needed no explanation further than that asked. I deliberately tried to avoid introducing irrelevant facts which would tempt forum members to send the topic off to realms of unnecessary information away from actual answers to the question. You have made assumptio...

Re: IPTV MAG BOX

Well thanks very much everyone for this advice on how to get UK TV in Spain. I'll explain all this technology to my 80 year old widow friend for whom I asked the question at the start of this thread. I'm sure she'll quickly get the hang of buying and using an amazon stick or downloading Kodi and exp...
