Re: T.I.E

Here’s a thought. According to the info put out by the Consulate and the Spanish foreign ministry, the TIE will be useful as an ID card for crossing Schengen borders.this suggests that it is a bona fide Spanish ID card. So, unless you want to travel outside the Schengen area, is there any need to ha...

Re: T.I.E

First rule of handling all Spanish bureaucratic processes is take at least one copy of everything and at least 2 photos even if the rules say that they are not required.

Oh, and a stapler!

Re: One call to two phones

It's normal. iPhones etc have this feature where they talk to each other over your WiFi. When my iPhone rings, all the iPads and my iMac ring and it makes a lot of noise - you don't miss a call! I can take the call on any of them . Very handy when you are not near your phone.

Re: T.I.E

I think your address must be your physical address, is that what you have on the green card? My postal address is an Apartado but the form has my campo address.

Normally the bank stamps the form, so as Gerry says, the ATM receipt should suffice.

Do you have an official source for this information?
It’s in the withdrawal agreement. If you are legally resident at the end of the transition period you have 6 months to apply for a TIE.

Re: NEW RESIDENTS CARD

The suggestion to use a gestor was regarding the new requirements for people who do not already have residency. This is a much more complicated procedure needing proof of income, health cover, etc. and involves going to 2 different offices, one of which is in Málaga. In my opinion, €200 for a couple...

Re: Residencia. Yes or No ?

Why not just apply when you are ready? The Spanish are not going to stop UK citizens moving to there country after brexit are they Sid?. If you were say 15 years old now but intended to move to Spain when your old enough to make that decision legally it would surely be the same process as for us ol...

Re: Residencia. Yes or No ?

Until you have been resident for 5 years and have got permanent residence right, you will lose your initial residency if you spend more than 6 months away from Spain. If you kept to that rule, you would become tax resident so your plan has a major flaw. Permanent residency can only be lost after an ...

Re: Flying from Gibralta

Yes, you do. You have to declare which countries you have been to prior to flying.

Whether anyone will check is another matter. The UK is good at introducing such measures, but never seem to enforce them.

Re: Coronavirus

It's irrelevant whether Spain imposes quarantine as there will not be any Brits coming as the FCO advice has gone back to essential travel only which rules out travel insurance.

It’s the price you may for a free Internet. If we were all happy to pay Google €10 a month you would not see any ads It’ s only going to get worse and so many sites won’t open unless you disable your adblocker.

Just think what a paper copy of The Times would cost of it didn’t carry adverts.

Re: Transferring a vehicle after death

You didn’t answer my question about UK assets.

Without a will, it doesn’t matter what she said, it could take months to sort out and no one can touch the car until it has been sorted. My advice is walk away from it and buy something else.
