Re: TIE ...

There is no deadline, but it is highly recommended that you get one rather than rely on the green certificate.

We were given an appointment to collect the card. Doing it online is a nightmare and especially in August.

Re: House Rubble Disposal without a Skip

Here they dump it next to the bins. Every week the council clear it away, sometime they need to use a digger. Any useful stuff or metal disappears within an hour.

It’s a waste of time. When did any small petition achieve any action, even if it was raised in the Commons.

Re: Anazon Prime deliveries

Spanish delivery drivers cannot be bothered to even attempt to locate houses outside towns. If they can’t be bothered to use their GPS navigators they will not bother to use What3Words. We have lived in the campo 1 mile from the main road and in 22 years we have had no more that 6 deliveries to our ...

Re: Anazon Prime deliveries

Many of the posts above are confusing matters re amazon delivery charge No, you are the one who is confusing everyone by incorrectly saying free delivery on Prime is only for orders over €29. This thread is about Amazon Prime, not about other orders. If you can’t post correct, on topic, information...

Re: Anazon Prime deliveries

Amazon UK charges unless order is over 20GBP. Prime is free.

Amazon Spain is free for prime members with no minimum amount.

However, and this is where the confusion may have come from, Amazon Spain has a minimum order of €29 for SAME DAY delivery.

Having said all that anything that is available on Amazon Prime is usually free delivery if your order is over 29 EUR.
That must be a very recent change - for the worse. I have ordered a number of items this year under €29 and delivery was free.

We use the post office but it doesn’t have big queues and the postmaster sends us a WhatsApp when we have a delivery.

Re: Memory stick reliability

It’s as safe as your password choice. The most famous celeb breach was Apple iCloud a few years ago. Apple investigated it and it was caused by insecure passwords. These idiot celebs were using passwords of things like their dogs name, all of which took 5 minutes to find on Facebook. Since then, mos...

Re: Memory stick reliability

But your own devices are not as reliable. I have lost count of how many external drives and sticks that have failed. Google and Amazon have the largest and most reliable servers in the world. There is also iCloud and Dropbox. All the backups are automatic, you do not have to do anything at all. Also...

I turn our study into a cold room. Somewhere to escape to to cool off. No fridge but it’s not far to the one in the kitchen. TV is a 5K 27” Apple iMac. The old 55” is now in a shady corner of the garden.

The easiest place to go for identification is likely to be your local town hall. Our main town hall is in Almuñécar but La Herradura has a sort of sub town hall. We just walked in and were dealt with immediately.

I was in central Málaga yesterday and it was 42.5c but very low humidity. Sid was that on the car or street thermometer? Cars seem to be more reliable that the ones in the street. Very very unusual for Malaga city to be above 35c If the Terral is blowing 40+ is not unusual. The temperature was regi...

I have the 2020 Samsung 55’ Q80T I love it, but I expect the latest Neo versions will be better. However, I think we are talking tiny differences in quality at a very big increase in price. A lot depends on how close to the TV that you sit. I sit about 5 ft from our 55’ TV which is pretty close to t...
