I don´t know about any other ferry companies, but I´ve twice brought animals Plymouth to Santander and the paperwork was checked BEFORE boarding. No papers, no travel!! You need European pet passport. This means at the least rabies shot and health check 72 hours before ARRIVAL in Spain. You may now ...

Building a barn is not a problem!

Getting permission to build a barn can be an enormous problem. You still need a minimum amount of land (in this area 25,000 sq. mts.) and you will have to prove income from the land. Check it out!

Thanks for your replies Beachcomber and Costakid. I think my friends are probably going to take the motorhome back to the UK and sell it.

RHD Motor Home

Some friends have a RHD motor home, almost new and wondered is it possible to put it on Spanish plates. Apparently, larger vehicles if RHD are not eligible. Also, does anyone know what % the tax is?

Might be an idea to contact someone at the Rota Naval Base, just south of Sevilla. I know there was a dealer down there selling imported US vehicles, he´s not in business now. There´s a Spanish guy up here in Arcos who buys trucks and equipment through the base. I could try and get more details on t...

Bank Responsibilty to inform

I have had bank trouble recently, and someone has told me that there has been a law passed which means that banks in Spain have a responsibility to their customers to inform them of changes in their account etc. The Costa Blanca News ran an article a couple of weeks ago, which I can´t access on thei...

Katy, I don´t see that it´s any of your business EXACTLY why I went, but it wasn´t just a shopping trip. Furthermore, if you get out of your bed early enough in the morning, there is no queues to get in. Why is it that someone can´t just post a topic on here with out one of you argumentative -------...

Rip Off Shops in Gib.

I´ve been to Gibraltar today for a bit of shopping (please don´t anyone start about living without British goods!) and the ciggies. Whilst there, I needed new film for my fax machine and went into 3 shops to find the prices went from 31 to 33 pounds for a pack of 2 films. Needless to say, since I kn...

Gibraltar definately qualifies as UK with regard to dogs. You need a FULL passport, just as you would to get back into the UK.
I asked Customs in Gib. about this because, like you I wanted to take the car in with the dog in the back and was told No Way without the passport.

I haven´t phoned them yet, but I want to know what they are going to do about paying back some of the 39€ I´ve paid this month! If Telefonica do come along with something now, I´ll go for it. Interesting comments. I got conected last week to Iberbanda through Aviandalucia and everything was brilliant up until last night. All today, I have been getting Cannot Find Server, yet the pop up window shows the connection is there. I'm back on the old faithful laptop with Vodaphone access now, an...
