Well adios amigos. Spanish Hopes´ post just about does it for me.
Why certain people on this forum seem to take delight in putting others down, seemingly for the sake of it, I don´t know, but I want no further part of it.

Another crass comment on the radio today!

Remember a few weeks ago, I posted about a certain radio presenter on OCI who, on discussing live on air the latest tragic suicide of a young person in Bridgend, South Wales, said that "it mustn´t be pleasant being Welsh, but you wouldn´t have thought it would be worth killing yourself for"...

Funnily enough Wicksey, following your logic, I honestly wouldn´t want to be 31 again. I´m much happier now than I was then and much of that, I´m sure, is due to learning from life´s experiences. Had I lived here in Mijas at age 30, well that may have been different, but if there is such a thing as ...

I´m convinced I feel younger at 50 than, say. my father did and maybe that´s to do with the world moving on.

Does anyone have a view on this, and does the same apply to the different Spanish generations, or have they not "caught up" yet?

How can you all condemn this guy without knowing the first thing about him, his wife or their relationship? On the face of it, yes he´s done wrong, but we don´t know the state of their relationship! Whatever the truth of the matter, I feel for the lady as she is clearly in distress, but please let´s...

Also you need to consider: Public liability insurance Fire and theft insurance Security system Staffing (strict rules apply in Spain re. employment law) As anis says, there are many more but hopefully these points will be of use. It is important to understand the "hidden" costs of a busine...

Popular age, this one, so am I!

Starlet, irrespective of your motive for asking the question, is the average age (based on the replies so far) higher or lower than you anticipated?

No rain is forecast for the Costa del Sol over the whole weekend, you´ll be pleased to hear :D

Much of mainland Spain will see some showers, so in terms of beach activity, we should be ok.

From an ecological viewpoint, sadly many of the pine trees destroyed were up to 100 years old. From the human aspect, yes it seems this was deliberate as two other fires sprang up close by at around the same time. At the time of writing there are still three water helicopters hard at work, although ...

Hi there. My advice in situations like this is always the same. Go to a Spanish gestor, preferably on a personal recommendation. When we took over our (non food) business, which is also rented, we used a recommended gestor and the acquisition of our Certificado (to trade) was through within a week. ...

peter, I so agree with you about disabled parking bays. What kind of people are they that won´t walk 100 yards or less to the entrance? In UK ASDAs now they have a recorded message reminding people as they park what the purpose of these bays is. My best moment for a while was when the police were ca...

Only a small market here in Mijas, but if you haven´t been there is a free outdoor flamenco show at 12.00 on Wednesdays, then you´ll need the rest of the afternoon to take in the fantastic sea views and Spanish village life in abundance.

Are Dogs Allowed On Buses In Malaga Province?

We have just added to the household a charming chihuahua. Will she be allowed on Portillo buses?

Thanks in advance.
