Re: can't access 'portalweb.prpmalaga.es'

Guess it means securing the site is easier. Doubt the web managers are considering absent foreign home owners. After all they will get their money eventaully plus possibly late payment fine.. Win win for them.

Re: can't access 'portalweb.prpmalaga.es'

It may be because you are in the UK. With my UK vpn active i can't connect to this site, however if I turn my vpn off i connect immediately. Ive noticed this more frequently recently that an increasing number of spanish sites won't let you connect from a UK address. If you have vpn service available...

Re: Google Ads

Become my default action now to start up Edge or whatever they call it now if a site doesn't work as expected with Brave/Chrome. Often that cures the problem. So much for open standards and RFCs To add to the annoyance i'm finding quite a few spanish sites won't let me browse, or apps connect if i h...

Did you try rotating the blades with the fan switched on?
Re-reading my post perhaps it wasn't clear that the test should be done with the fan switched on.
Cheers
Gerry

Re: Ceiling fan not working, but light is OK

Quote possibly it's the start capacitor rather than the motor. They can be replaced fairly easily. ...but I guess you've got to know someone who knows how do that. Any suggestions from your location up to Competa or down to the coast at Torre del Mar? I guess thats the catch . Sorry but don't perso...

Re: Car Road Tax

If you look on your bill near the bottom just above the bar code you will see the " Emisora, Sufijo etc" codes/ numbers that you need to enter into the payment system to pay online. It's quite easy to do, honest. Cheers Gerry Or use your phone/tablet to read the qr code on the notification y...

Re: Flying

Whether we fly or not this year is dependant on a vaccination becoming available. Hence 'maybe' No jab no fly. Nor would we fly the kids here. Already canned our grandkids visit in August, and our trips back, including Christmas.

Thought they got paid for clickthroughs not displaying. But then what do I know. I have the blocker primarily for sites like daily mail.

Brave does have the facility to easily turn on/off on a per site level

Re: Salud Responde App Working or is it down?

Maybe old news. The Salud Responde app now has a coronavirus section. Select your registration in the app and a new purple icon ha appeared. Contains information and a symptom checker that you can fill in and send off for a diagnosis.

Only in Spanish, like the rest of the app.

Re: VPN Recommendation

My router does have vpn capability, in fact quite smart as you can specify by mac addresses which devices use vpn and which don't. However i find that the speed hit is much greater than when i configure vpn on individual devices. So i tend to go with the latter.

Re: Outlook Express & Windows XP

You could create a gmail account then configure outlook express to use googles smtp server and use your gmail user/password to authenticate and send mail.

No need to change any other Outlok settings for downloading received email, nor change her current email address.

Re: Outlook Express & Windows XP

Looks like an issue with whatever smtp (outgoing) mail server is configured within the app.

When the message fails to send is some form of error message displayed? Or does the mail appear to send and a mail message saying delivery failure is returned?
