Re: Samsung TV will not turn off

Hi Enrique

I have other Samsungs and tried different remotes.

Costakid, it seems better again now. I unplugged over night and it must have re-booted.

Fingers crossed.

Seems it is a common problem.

Re: Samsung TV will not turn off

Obviously unplug it, but is there any hope of it returning off with the remote again?

Re: Premium Bonds

Who mentioned working from home, or otherwise. I haven't a clue if any of the many I spoke to were, in fact I know twice Barclays were in their offices.

I was at home, if it helps. Not working.

Re: Online shopping in the Covid world

My masks from Aliexpress seems fine.

They are probably not medical grade, but, there again, I am not operating on hearth bypasses, just taking the dog out and popping into Lidl.

Re: Online shopping in the Covid world

I've used aliexpress quite a lot. Got 100 masks for 17 euros, arrived in 2 weeks. I had one order with them that hadn't arrived and they refunded within minutes. Good service.

Premium Bonds

I may be telling everybody something they already know but here we go. Prior to lockdown, beginning of March, I wanted to take out some Premium Bonds. I called them, they said I needed a password and they would send me a form to sign, send back to them, then they send the password. All by post. I as...

Re: T.I.E

My DNI has my address on it.

Interesting that you have to pay at a bank before and go to the police station with TIE. I recently got my DNI and, not sure quite why, my passport, and in each case paid the policeman there and then.

Odd.....

I had a barrage from that number a week or so ago. In the end I just ignored it when the number came up and it seems to have stopped.

Re: FOREIGN & COMMONWEALTH OFFICE APOSTILLE STAMPS

Well Beach. Last year I got documents Apostille stamped with no problem last year. I sent them off and they came back by return, duly stamped and ready for translation. An easier transaction one could not have asked for.

My point was that they are not offering this service at the moment.

FOREIGN & COMMONWEALTH OFFICE APOSTILLE STAMPS

hI Fortunately not a problem for me, but it may be for some people trying to legalise documents, as told to me by a friend. The FCO is currently not working on all cylinders and is basically, to be kind, dragging its feet seriously on Apostille stamps. This friend of mine has encountered real proble...

Getting DNI & changing numbers

Hi

Does anyone know if, when you get a DNI, what happens to your other things that are registered to your NIE?

Do they get swapped over automatically (praying !!!) or do I have to do the lot myself? :?: :?: :?:

Help would be gratefully received.

Cheers

Re: Applying for UK Pension in Spain

My understanding is that I have to go to the INSS because I am here and have worked a bit here as well as my 35 years in UK.

The form above does not seem to be the right one to apply from here, I do not think

I think it is through Social Security, but any other details would be gratefully received like what documents you need (plus photocopies, of course!) and how long before the date it is due should you apply? Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??

YIPPEEE

My ITV done at last this morning.

Also renewed driving licence which ran out end of April.

So all legal again (Yes I know I could have used the car without ITV and licence, but better safe than sorry....)
