Re: Coronavirus

Hi Enrique Yes, it's a full booking. I guess that you are correct that BF would issue the forms, nothing yet from them online though. They do have a helpful "Together and Protected" page on their site which sets out what they have done and are doing to keep passengers and crew safe, including a shor...

Re: Coronavirus

Brittany Ferries has just confirmed that sailings will resume from 29 June, so at last, we should be coming to Spain. Hooray! The three checks at the port of arrival have been publicised (temperature check, visual check and completion of a form to show where we are staying), but I can't find anywher...

Yes, similar situation logging in from the UK, Google Chrome giving me a new window instead of A.com, with a red triangle with a white exclamation mark and a heading "Your connection is not private" followed by "Attackers may be trying to steal your information from www.andalucis.com for example pas...

I also think that Virgin has a nerve asking the UK Government for a bailout due to coronavirus, yet as I recall, they vehemently objected to any government support at all for FlyBe which went bust at the start of the crisis.

Re: Spanish Postal Service

My package which had been held in the Madrid Logistics Centre since 31 March, suddenly started its journey south yesterday morning 21 April and was delivered and signed for in Torrox at 1926 the same day.

Everything comes to he who waits.

Re: Easyjet

Our daughter had her EasyJet 7th April return flights LGW-AGP=LGW cancelled and has been trying to get through by telephone to ask for a refund - same experience as others above. On BBC R4 You and Yours programme on Friday 17 April I heard a piece with a travel journalist who said that EasyJet had r...

Re: Spanish Postal Service

Just to add to the list of stories, on 27 March, I posted a small jiffy bag in the UK by Royal Mail Tracked and Signed For service to be delivered to a friend in Torrox. Normally this would take about 5 or 6 days, including the weekend. On 31 March at 2139 it arrived in Madrid where it was "classifi...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Good afternoon Beachcomber Many thanks for your detailed reply and explanation; I understand now your cautionary notes within your "Form 210 instructions" document and that very small mistranslation of "and" to "or", which changes the context of this piece of text significantly. I bow to your expert...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Hello Beachcomber Ref my earlier question on 10 February. I have prepared the forms 210 for myself and my wife in respect of the period 1 Jan to 3 June 2019 and I was working through the form 210 in respect of the house that we bought in December 2019, and I have a query regarding " Supplementary Se...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Question for Beachcomber please. Over the years I have followed your instructions and created forms 210 and paid our imputed income tax. I now need to pay tax due for 2019. We sold our house on 3 June 2019 and as per your instructions " During the year of purchase or sale you declare pro rata for th...

Re: Televidiosat and iptv box questions

Thanks markwilding for your full reply, very helpful.

I read a post and the replies about Amazon fire suggesting that a new release is imminent, is a Fire the same thing (in layman's terms) as an iptv box?

Setting up a vpn is probably not viable for payg wifi for holiday visits.

Thanks Z

Thanks for the update on Filmon; it must be two years or more since I last used them over landline broadband.

Sounds like commercial reality must have kicked in.

Televidiosat and iptv box questions

It's been a while since I've posted on the forum, so please be gentle. Some time ago we had the "old" sky/UK satellite tv services and then landline and Movistar broadband to the house and it all worked fine, but the house got used less over the past couple of years and so we cancelled the Movistar ...

Re: Movistar

I've never figured out how to access the TV part of my Fusion contract and probably don't really want it anyway - maybe a bit like in the UK with BT as my Internet provider, I have BT TV (can't remember it's proper name, which is probably an indication that I haven't used it for years). Although BT ...

IreneD Ah yes, in November last year, Clara and Andre at the vineyard told us that they would be offering high quality lunches; if I remember correctly these were going to be on an ad hoc basis depending upon how many bookings they received. Looking at their website a moment ago, there is now a noti...

I had no idea there were wines costing in the double digits - other than the excellent ones in Lidl at up to 99 cents... POR Come down from the hills on your side of Velez Malaga and up the ones a little to the east at exit 277 to just past Sayalonga and Bodegas Bentomiz and discover what you have ...
