We also had a brand new bed delivered to our removers just before we left. Wha...

I wish I could Bunty but unfortunately all my furniture is still in store (only 16 months so far) and we're still living in rented accommodation. One thing I didn't mention is that it looks far nicer if the pillow cases have a frill around them - it's easier to hide the velcro then.

Thanks Todd - I just love getting my house right for us and am fortunate in being able to see what things could look like. Just wish I had the artistic flare of some designers. Perhaps in my next life I'd like to take it further.

An alternative idea is what I did on my superking bed as it was difficult finding a suitable bedhead for that size and this way was much cheaper. I bought a curtain pole which extended past the width of the bed (6ft). I bought two extra pillow cases to match the duvet set and put a pillow inside eac...

You do really need a Residencia card if your a pensioner. 18 months ago I managed to get my medical card (red & white Seguridad Social) without Residencia but things change all the time.

The missing word starts off sounding like a bum - that's probably why their automatic deleting system cottoned onto it! Unbelievable.

How could I forget that my daughter worked for the King of Bahrain and the rest of the royal family on his private jets up until 2 years ago.

Thanks teralin - we'll certainly look into that. I think it's always better to get personal recommendations when buying that kind of thing.

Ah! That reminds me of when I lived in the Isle of Man from 1953/7 and my Dad marshalled on the TT course for 4 years. My Dad got to know John Surtees quite well. I met too many TT riders to mention and had all their autographs - I just can't remember their names now after all it was a long time ago...

Interesting. We're looking into water treatment solutions at the moment that treats before the water enters the house. Most treatments we've heard of from friends and neighbours are a waste of space so would be interested in knowing the name of this system please and your response to Grouser's query...

When I was a teenager I lived just outside Liverpool and used to go to Billy Fury's house with a friend who knew the family and have tea with his mother. Also went out with Billy's brother (once - that was enough). I was madly in love with Billy Fury then but sadly only got to meet him once at a con...

That's why I prefer the tablet form - it never goes into the dispenser so I don't ever get that build up of black gunge. The one in our rented place is in the garage and the dispenser needs to be removed and cleaned out about once a month - not the easiest job in the world. I totally agree with the ...
