Charity shops would certainly take the books but the problem is finding one that is currently allowed to open.

I should have added that it also depends on what the stated value is on the customs declaration.
A lot of the Chinese suppliers I use put a low declaration on the paperwork, hence no additional paperwork/ payment.

The country they were dispatched from. A lot of goods these days are made in China. How the recipient pays the tax depends a lot on how they are delivered. I had an item, via the postal system, bought from America and I had to pay the postman. I had another item, via a carrier, also bought from Amer...

I suspect holiday home insurance because it could be empty most of the year, is dearer than permanent home insurance which is likely to be occupied most of the year.

Could be a good idea, for privacy/security, that attachments can only be seen by members who have logged on and not seen by the general public.

I use this site https://parcelsapp.com for tracking anything with a tracking number.
Tracks the package when it goes by multiple carriers.

Also, there is an extra charge for coloured enveoçlopes and non-standard size envelopes.
Sometimes makes posting a birthday or Xmas card expensive.
