Re: Vaccine war with EU
That is a very scary story Beach, i hope she will recover, i can't imagine what her family must be going through, they will be worried sick. She is still so very young and it does make you stop in your tracks and think about these young people who in all likleyhood would not die with the virus, yet h...

Re: Vaccine war with EU
Daughter had similar side effects with AZ ...OTH also had AZ but didn't have any side effects, not even a sore arm...Most of the people who i know suffered side effects with Pfizer but other people may have a different story. I think it all just depends on the person and how the vaccines effect them.

The Us have paused Johnson and Johnson for the time being due to cases of blood clots..That could be another scupper in Spains vaccination roll out, not going great.

Re: Travel Covid requirements
Yes that is true Mark but we are opening up tomorrow and fingers crossed it will stay that way.
I'd hate to think we were just going into another lockdown during the spring and summer months.

Re: Travel Covid requirements
Well no wonder people are so miffed off about not being able to leave their province when people living close to an airport can fly into another country.

Re: Vaccine war with EU
I can't help but think that if there had been no problems with the AZ supplies that the blood clotting situation would have been reported much differently by the EU and they would have been concentrating their efforts on trying to reassure people .. they have trashed it that much that i believe AZ w...

Re: Travel Covid requirements
Katy how are they managing to travel if there are restrictions. Do they not have to have some kind of documentation proof? or is that just for people entering Spain?

It seems that he works on the English version of el pais although he resides in Spain. Maybe he has been able to use some kind of work related reason to get round restrictions, who knows..He didn't mention that he was travelling for an emergency, just that he hadn't seen his parents in such a long t...

Re: Travel Covid requirements
Yes it does Wicksey, i read it last night, i'm a bit puzzled though but that is only because i don't know what the rules of travel are when leaving Spain. Does Spain allow residents to travel to other countries in order to visit family members?

Re: Vaccine war with EU
Can you blame them, one min they are not vaccinating the over 65's with AZ then its banned for the under 60's but it's ok for those aged between 60 and 69..confidence must be at an all time low.

Re: Car Finance V Lump Sum
Yes i can fully understand that you definitely need a car living in the Countryside Lavanda, I also know exactly what you mean about car hires..If our property wasn't in the countryside and perhaps by the coast or even in a village not far from the airport i doubt we would bother looking for a car.....

Re: Car Finance V Lump Sum
We looked into buying a new car 2 yrs ago in Spain and went to several dealers and they all pushed the finance option, i too couldn't get my head around finance being the cheaper way to go but other forum members say it's how things are done in Spain so i guess that is how it is.. It's true that you...

So at least they can get on with vaccinating that group of people if they have the vaccine supplies already in the country to get on with it.

Re: New CaixaBank fees ... time to change banks?
Caxia have taken over Bankia so i'm waiting to see what the changes are. Bankia increased their fees last year from 15e each quarter to 15e each month. Due to Covid and the travel situation I have resisted trying to change to another bank until things settle down. i also got the feeling that other b...

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain
But if you die or have a serious adverse reaction which company gets the blame? Actually I suppose it doesn't matter because the pharmaceutical companies have immunity from prosecution for killing and maiming people anyway. It would only prove mix n match is a bad idea, i don't suppose any of the p...
